Some of you may have already heard of me as I have been working in the Preston area for over 23 years as an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor). Most of that time was with the country's largest driving school. In those years, I've helped train other instructors and instructed countless pupils both young and not so young, from all sorts of backgrounds, to drive.

My pass rate is well above the national average. I have a friendly, relaxed style so don't be worried if you make mistakes, and I am graded by the Driving Standards Agency with a Grade 5 and four consecutive Grade 6's, the highest grade possible. So, you will be in a safe pair of hands if you choose to have lessons with me.

I'm now running my own driving school offering the same quality instruction but at a much more affordable price. Lessons are structured and you will be given a Track Record so we can record your progress.
You will have free loan of study aids, a mock test prior to your driving test and individual tuition-no car sharing.

How many hours will I need?

Taking longer lessons will shorten the number of hours taken overall. This is because skills such as operating the foot controls whilst steering and planning ahead develop best when practised repeatedly in a condensed period of time but not for so long that fatigue sets in!

Two hour lessons are ideal to set up the learning that needs to take place and then to practise the skills. However, very good results can be achieved with one and a half hour lessons.

Your natural ability and commitment to learn can DRAMATICALLY REDUCE the number of hours required to become a safe driver and so pass your test. The Driving Standards Agency quotes 47 hours with an instructor and 22 hours privately with friends and family. Often, my pupils have A LOT LESS HOURS than that but some do require more.
